High Vibes Healing opened in May 2021 and is a Yoga and Sound Healing Studio located within the newly renovated Country Mart located at 1045 W Main Street Suite G in Monteagle Tennessee. Our beautifully designed and state of the art studio offers a clean and safe environment to cultivate deep practices that can enrich your life. We also have a medical grade Infrared sauna & spa relaxation area for you to rest & rejuvenate! High Vibes Healing offers a variety of yoga classes, Tai Chi, ecstatic dance, and two different types of meditation classes. Private sound healing and Reiki sessions are available by appointment and once a month there is a Sacred Sound Journey event open to the public. Bemer sessions are also available. The Bemer is a german medical device that increases circulation, oxygen uptake, promotes detoxification, and boosts immunity. Anneli Virkhaus & Oliver Maddox are the owners of the studio. Anneli graduated from St. Andrews-Sewanee 20 years ago and has called Sewanee her home since then, even when living elsewhere. Anneli & Oliver were called back to the mountain and originally had no idea they would open a studio. Anneli completed her yoga teacher training right at the beginning of the pandemic and came back and started teaching yoga outside. Oliver knew that Country Mart was being renovated and heard that one space was intended to be a yoga studio. One day he decided to stop by and from there things moved pretty fast. It became clear that they were supposed to open a yoga studio and designed a plan and opened, despite it being the pandemic. Amazingly people came to the studio and since then it has been growing and prospering.
Anneli is passionate about helping people develop self-care practices and increasing self-awareness. Yoga is one easy way for people to cultivate this. Anneli also loves sharing her musical gifts and ends every yoga class with live sound healing music by singing and playing guitar and her crystal bowls. There is something for everyone at the studio.
