When childhood friends, David and Betsy Wood visited Mount Pleasant while visiting for New Year's weekend, they fell in love with this quaint little secret of a town. The charm of the early 1900’s architecture and all of the friendly people that they met, reminded them of where they grew up in Summit, NJ. The only thing that was missing was a coffee shop! An avid coffee drinker, David searched for the nearest actual coffee shop and was surprised to find it was a20-minute drive! It was clear to this couple, as a chef and designer, that Mount Pleasant was in need of their talents, so they decided to open up @townecoffee - named after Towne Deli, where David got his start in the food business.

You can find the coffee shop, just down from the square on Main Street. Open 5 days a week, Towne Coffee serves exceptional chef prepared breakfast and lunch all day, in addition to a full coffee menu, featuring organic coffee from @black_river_roasters Stop by to grab a bite and a coffee. You won’t regret it!
