Collinwood, Tennessee is located just a stone's throw west of the Natchez Trace Parkway's 355-mile marker. The City of Collinwood is the only city of Tennessee located directly on the border of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Collinwood can also be found 28 miles north of Florence, Alabama, and 12 miles south of Waynesboro, which is the County seat.

Collinwood, a Wayne County city, is located in south-central Tennessee, halfway between Nashville and Tupelo and adjacent to the Natchez Trace Parkway.

The close location to the Trace and the town's welcome center, markets, grocery stores, and a couple of restaurants make Collinwood a popular stop for anybody traveling the Trace, especially cyclists.

The Old Collinwood Train Depot was repurposed into a beautiful public library.

The population of Collinwood was 986 in 2014.
